Books I Love

Now that I’m organized, I have found the time to read again. Yay!

This is my recent reading list of books that I loved and thought were worth every penny! I will spare you the business books I love. I’ll continue to add to the list if I find more great books.

Books that will change your life

This book ranks in my top five all-time favorites, and why I decided to move this category to the top of the list. You will look at your life in a different way after reading this book. It is inspirational and will have you changing for the better to “live a better story” as he puts it.

Donald Miller is hysterical. I found myself laughing out loud many times while reading this book. I have another one of his books I can’t wait to read. I see him quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

I’m making this required reading for my kids when they are teenagers because I think it will make them see the world as a wonderful opportunity to make a difference based on good choices, and that can’t start early enough.

Home life

I was already an average coupon clipper and saved a fair amount of money each week at the store. However, this book got me so excited about finding more coupons to use in the hopes of saving 30%-50% at the grocery store that I think I might now be classified as Coupon Crazy. It is full of great tips on how to maximize your savings using coupons.

The website CouponMom has resources for finding coupons you can print and use. I’ve used them, and, yes, the stores take them. :)

This is my favorite cookbook by far, and I have a lot of cookbooks. It is the one I turn to, time and time again, for a quick and easy dinner that my kids actually like.

The pages of my copy are worn from use.

This is my second favorite cookbook, and I use it all the time.

You really don’t feel deprived with these recipes and, BONUS!, the kids like them, too.

Just for fun

I am a HUGE Dan Brown fan, and this book did not disappoint. I found it to be more intense than DeVinci Code and Angles and Demons, and I couldn’t bear put it down until I finished it.

I’m sad knowing it will be another year or so before he brings out a new book.
