Save money with coupons!

I have always been the occasional coupon clipper and would save a few dollars if I remembered to take them with me to the store.

Recently the show The Marriage Ref featured a couple arguing over the wife’s coupon obsession. Who would argue about saving money? Donald Trump, one of the judges that week, was strongly in support of the wife for doing what she could to save money, even though he admits to not using them himself. Can you imagine Donald Trump with an envelope of coupons at the grocery store?

Unless you are Donald Trump, everyone could use a little savings at the store.

As I said before, I was going along fine clipping coupons occasionally, and then I stumbled upon Coupon Mom’s book at the book store.

My grocery shopping experience was about to change…for the better.

I was propelled into coupon craziness.

Now I get coupons from both the newspaper and online sources. Coordinating the use of a coupon with a sale gives you bonus savings. The tips in her book were inspiring, and I have doubled what I save at the grocery store each trip, thanks to her advice. By the way, I am not getting paid for a glowing review of this book. I just thought it was that good and had to write about it.

The occasional coupon cutter I once was has been transformed into a crazy coupon lady that looks at the cash register receipt as some sort of competition. 30% savings…YES! I won! The prize? More cash in the bank!
