Keeping your space organized doesn't have to break the bank. With these seven budget-friendly organization fixes, you can tidy up various areas in your home without spending a fortune. Disclosure: These are my Amazon affiliate links.
1) Versatile Door Hanger
An over the door organizer is a fantastic organizational tool, especially for kids' rooms. Utilize it to store handheld electronics, shoes, brushes, scarfs, small toys, and anything else that usually ends up on the floor or dresser. The multiple pockets offer ample storage, and its compact design ensures it won't take up much space.
2) Multi-Purpose Tie and Belt Holder
Take your closet organization to the next level with a multi-purpose tie holder. While it's perfect for neatly hanging ties, it's also great for storing belts. Say goodbye to tangled accessories and keep your closet tidy and accessible.
3) Handy Coupon Organizer
Keep your coupons in check with a handy little coupon organizer. Categorize your coupons for easy access while shopping. Its compact size allows you to slip it into your purse, so you'll never miss out on a great deal again.
4) Pocket Calendar for Ultimate Convenience
Never miss an important event again with a calendar with pockets. Its large squares provide ample space to jot down appointments and reminders. Plus, the handy pocket is perfect for storing birthday invitations, event tickets, or anything else you need to keep safe until the big day arrives.
5) Auto Wallet for Glove Compartment Organization
Tired of losing important car documents in your glove compartment? An auto wallet is the solution you need. Safely store your insurance and registration information in this dedicated holder, keeping them easily accessible and preventing them from getting lost in the clutter.
6) Efficient Business Card Holder
Use a business card organizer to maintain a neat collection of business cards for doctors, dentists, home repair companies, and other services. Organize the cards into sections, such as medical contacts for adults and kids, home repair professionals (e.g., A/C, plumber), and miscellaneous services like hair salons, spas, and consignment shops. This simple organization tool will make scheduling appointments a breeze.
7) Charming Small Wicker Baskets
Enhance your home's aesthetics while staying organized with small wicker baskets. Use them to hold bills or everyday items like scissors and tape for quick access. Whether placed on a counter or shelf, these lovely baskets add a touch of elegance to your space while keeping essential items within reach. I like to use them in the bathroom to hold brushes and hair clips so they aren't falling off the counter, and it makes the room look neater.

Melinda,
Thanks for sharing the list.
I love the wicker baskets, They go perfectly with the woodern floors in my daughter’s room. I need to get them in larger sizes though.
Have you always been this organized?
Melinda says
I love those baskets. I know they have a bigger one (more than twice the size) for $20. I’m a Pier 1 addict..I have to ban myself from that store. 🙂 I think I always was obsessed with organizing..even as a kid.

I’m with Moondancer on the wicker baskets – they look great with wood floors.
That “tie hanger” thing can’t be underestimated: that really helped me organize a closet that was an absolute mess.

Thanks Ashok! 🙂

I really need to get my room (and life) organized. It’s a mess! I think I shall start with that small wicker basket.

I love baskets for organizing. Looks like everyone else does, too.
Wayne Howard says
Yea, I just noticed that. I think it is because people will buy them just to toss all that stuff that is laying around in. Just to get them out the way lol.

Hey Melinda,
I like the baskets but I also like the Auto Wallet. My handbag is a disaster and that one might help (a little). 🙂 I use the door hanger too. Thanks for the tips! I’ll see if I can find Ashok’s Stumble.

I like knowing the car paperwork is all together since all kinds of junk gets tossed in there by the kids.

I absolutely love wicker baskets. They’re a great way to organize while serving the purpose of decor as well! And you can always find wicker baskets for reasonable prices and they have them in white too which is a plus.
PS: I saw your to-do list. I gotta drink more water, too! 🙂

Nice list
I like auto wallet.
i think it can help me with my problems with organization 😉

I laughed when I saw the tie hanger – a new place to hang them so they gather dust!
Better than lying in a heap on the top shelf of the closet though. Baskets; maybe there’s a guy resistance to those but they just seem -to darn convenient. My wife’s office is full of those (and each is full of things that have not been looked at for months…) and I have stuff in piles all over my office.
Hmm. I gotta head to Ikea. Thanks!

Some great ideas Melinda. I’ve been dreading tackling my bedroom closet for a long time now. But I’m gonna have to do it sooner or later. Your list has definitely given me a few ideas to get started. Most of it can probably be thrown out or donated, but the wicker baskets look promising for some things I may save. Thanks, I’m enjoying the blog!
